The Wonder Tree written by Yuka Suzuki Illustrated by Madison Cook

Illustration | Graphic Design | Print |Exhibition

The work shown left is a Children's book written by Yuka Suzuki in which I was given the wonderful opportunity to illustrate. Illustrating a book for children takes you back to the feeling of excitement and anticipation I am sure many of us experienced when our parents would read to us growing up.

The book talks about a little girls journey to the nearby village to get medicine for her ill mother and the shining tree she comes across on her journey. The little girl not only saves the tree from dying but treats her mothers illness through the tree.

This book was exhibited at the University of Canberra Children's book exhibition in 2012.

"The little girl’s mother was sick so she was in a hurry."

"After she had brought the bottle of water she returned to the forest."

"The little girl was surprised but she approached the tree and she gave it water. Then the tree was shining even more and it began to grow immediately."
