Josh Gilbert - Personal Branding
Research | Graphic Design
Josh is a passionate advocate for sustainable change in the Indigenous, agricultural & environmental fields. For his advocacy Josh has won multiple awards including the Australian Geographic Society Young Conservationist of 2016, the Foundation for Young Australians' award and the Heritage's Young Sustainability Champion award.
You may have seen Josh's TedxCanberra talk in 2016 where he shared his vision for a world which values Indigenous contribution or met him during his time as Chair of NSW Young Farmers
I have been lucky enough to with with Josh in creating his new personal branding strategy to reflect his values, interests, personality & passions. The circular shapes in this logo symbolise the unity between ag, sustainability & Indigenous culture & Josh's commitment to each. Red orchre is symbolic of the Aboriginal land, while earthy brown represents the rich black soil from which crops grow. The circular shapes link back to symbols in Aboriginal art such as the meeting place, sun, stars and moon!
